Vehicle Pilot

Employment Basis: Full Time

KOTZUR is growing. We are a progressive engineering/fabrication business with employees based in Toowoomba QLD, and Walla Walla NSW.

We are a specialist manufacturer of bulk solids storage and mechanical handling equipment for the agricultural, industrial and mineral resource industries.

We are seeking a reliable, focused and multiskilled Vehicle Pilot/Trade Assistant to pilot heavy vehicles and oversized loads safely to site (primary role) and assist with additional duties as needed to support site operations.

The Role

  • Vehicle Piloting:  Escorting Silos and equipment to client sites throughout region (Primary Role)

  • Oversized Loads: Pilot heavy vehicles and oversized loads per traffic management plans and regulations

  • Installing: Secure Silos once onsite, and assist with Trades Assistant tasks on down time

  • Collaborative Work:  Work closely with other employees and clients providing clear information

  • General Site Duties: Assist with additional tasks as needed to support site operations

 Requirements

  • Experience and license in piloting heavy vehicles, or willing to gain licence

  • Trades related background desirable to assist with install and supporting site operations

  • Strong safety focus, excellent communication skills, and a proactive attitude

  • Ability to drive long distances, including occasional overnight trips as required

  • Understanding and compliance with oversize, over-mass and over-height permits 

  • Strong self-management to effectively manage fatigue 

Qualifications

  • Open C Class Drivers Licence

  • Heavy vehicle pilots' licence (desirable)

  • Relevant trade or trade assistant experience (preferred)
