Grain Spouts & Spill Boxes

Kotzur spouts are pipes manufactured from mild steel and painted for a long-lasting protective finish. The inside of the spout is typically coated with a wear liner to improve the overall lifespan, and circular flanges enable rotation of the spouts as the inner surface wears over time. The addition of a truss kit enables a spout to span a greater distance while maintaining structural integrity.

Spill boxes are positioned at the end of a spout to slow the grain flow before entering a silo or conveyor. Importantly, spill boxes ensure that a silo is filled centrally. This significantly reduces the wear in this interface and increases the operational life of the equipment before maintenance is required. Kotzur’s design ensures that the bulk material impacts upon itself to slow down, yet is self- cleaning once the bulk material flow ceases.
