Robot Welder Operator

Employment Basis: Full Time

KOTZUR is growing. We are a progressive engineering/fabrication business with employees based in Toowoomba QLD, and Walla Walla NSW. This position is in our new Toowoomba facility.

About the role

Are you passionate about precision and automation? Join our team as a Robot Welding Operator building high-quality products using cutting-edge robotic welding technology.

This is a dynamic role with elements of a robot technician and boilermaker and suited to operators who want to develop a broad set of skills and knowledge of technical systems. You will have the opportunity to work with our expanding investment in technology and continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing

  • Program and maintain robotic welding operations to ensure high quality welds, consistency and efficiency

  • Plan, generate, and schedule cutting files using software

  • Develop and optimise robotic welds and laser programs to meet safety, production and quality standards

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the robotic welder and laser equipment and software

  • Lead the development and implementation of robotic welding processes and systems in the production area

What we're looking for

You will ideally be a robot technician with boilermaking skills and experience with:

  • Experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings and welding symbols, and recommending improvement

  • Experience in welding within a heavy industrial environment

  • Experience/certification in robotic welding systems and laser cutting programming eg CAD-CAM

  • Hands on approach to problem solving and maintenance

  • Diploma of Applied Technologies or similar Trade related course (preferred)
