Project Manager
Are you a mechanically minded Project Manager, Draftsperson, Estimator, Supervisor or tradesperson who has progressed into managing engineering, fabrication or site delivery projects? At Kotzur, we design, manufacture and deliver bulk solids storage and handling solutions across Australia, and we are looking for a practical, hands-on Project Manager to help coordinate projects from design and manufacture through to installation, commissioning and handover.
This role will suit someone who understands how things are made, installed and commissioned, and who enjoys bringing together drawings, suppliers, workshop teams, contractors, clients and site crews to get projects delivered well.
You may already be an experienced Project Manager, or you may have developed your project skills through a mechanical trade, drafting, fabrication, estimating, supervision or engineering pathway.
What you'll be doing
You will take responsibility for coordinating technically interesting projects, keeping clients informed, resolving practical issues and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
Key responsibilities include:
-
Coordinating projects from design review and planning through to manufacture, installation, commissioning and handover.
-
Working closely with clients, designers, workshop teams, suppliers, contractors and site crews.
-
Managing project schedules, costs, procurement, subcontractors and delivery priorities.
-
Reviewing drawings, scope requirements, specifications, risks and project changes.
-
Coordinating site works, contractor performance and safety requirements.
-
Commissioning and operational handover of projects.
-
Building and maintaining strong client relationships through proactive communication and service delivery.
-
Identifying opportunities to improve how projects are planned, coordinated and delivered.
What you’ll bring
-
A mechanical trade, drafting, fabrication, estimating, engineering or technical project background.
-
Experience coordinating technical, manufacturing, engineering, construction, installation or site-based projects.
-
The ability to read and understand drawings, scopes, specifications and project documentation.
-
A practical approach to managing schedules, costs, risks, suppliers, contractors and client expectations.
-
Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with workshop, office, site and client teams.
-
Competent use of project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project)
-
Relevant trade, drafting, engineering or project management qualifications will be well regarded, but equivalent hands-on experience is just as important.
-
A collaborative approach and the ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively
-
A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
Why join Kotzur?
-
Work for a respected Australian-owned manufacturing and engineering business.
-
Deliver meaningful projects that support Australia's agricultural and industrial sectors.
-
Join a collaborative and values-driven team.
-
Opportunity to influence project outcomes and improve business systems.
-
Competitive remuneration.
-
Additional paid time off, with one RDO accrued every four weeks.
