Production Worker - Plate Laser Operator

About the role

Kotzur designs, manufactures and delivers bulk solids storage and handling solutions across Australia. We are seeking a practical, safety-focused Production Worker to join our Walla Walla production team, with a primary focus on plate laser operation.

You will operate the plate laser, produce quality components, and support general production, fabrication, materials handling and assembly activities.

What you'll be doing

Working with the production team, you will operate the plate laser safely and efficiently while supporting the manufacture and assembly of silos and associated structures.

  • Operate the plate laser safely and in line with procedures.

  • Produce accurate components to drawings, specifications and quality standards.

  • Complete quality checks and report safety, quality or equipment issues.

  • Support fabrication and assembly of silos, components, gantries and walkways.

  • Assist with general factory duties including grinding, cutting, materials handling and housekeeping.

  • Work safely and collaboratively to meet production deadlines and support improvement activities.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in manufacturing, production, metal fabrication or a similar environment.

  • Plate laser, CNC or production equipment experience will be highly regarded.

  • Good mechanical aptitude and ability to follow drawings, work instructions and production documentation.

  • Strong attention to detail, initiative and commitment to safety, quality and timelines.

  • Ability to perform physical work in a factory environment and work well in a team.
