This is an opportunity to take on a hands-on lead role within a specialist sheetmetal production environment, working with a skilled team and Kotzur-specific equipment used to manufacture components for built-on-site silos.

This role is ideal for a practical, safety-focused sheetmetal or fabrication professional who enjoys working on the floor while supporting others to achieve quality production outcomes.

What you'll be doing

You will work alongside the Sheetmetal team to coordinate daily workflow, provide practical guidance and help ensure production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to the required quality standard.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate daily sheetmetal workflow, production priorities and use of labour, equipment and materials.

  • Lead by example in safe work practices and support a strong safety culture.

  • Provide practical guidance, training and day-to-day support to team members.

  • Operate and support specialist sheetmetal equipment, including wall rolling machines, coil laser machine, turret punch, brake press and related fabrication equipment.

  • Ensure components are produced accurately to drawings, specifications, tolerances and quality requirements.

  • Identify and escalate issues that may affect safety, quality, productivity or delivery.

  • Support housekeeping standards and efficient operation of sheetmetal production processes.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, productivity and workflow.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in a sheetmetal fabrication or manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.

  • Experience operating sheetmetal manufacturing equipment such as wall rolling machines, coil laser machine, turret punch, brake press or similar fabrication equipment.

  • Understanding of quality requirements, manufacturing tolerances and fit-up expectations.

  • Ability to coordinate workflow, set priorities and support production schedules.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to provide clear direction and feedback.

  • Previous Lead Hand or Team Leader experience is desirable.

  • Relevant trade qualification in Fabrication, Sheetmetal or a related discipline is preferred.

  • Forklift licence will be highly regarded.

Why join Kotzur?

  • Work for a respected Australian-owned manufacturing and engineering business.

  • Take on a stable, hands-on, lead opportunity within an established production team.

  • Work with specialised sheetmetal equipment and develop Kotzur-specific technical capability.

  • Join a practical team environment where safety, quality and continuous improvement matter.

  • Contribute directly to production outcomes that support Australia’s agricultural and industrial sectors.

  • Competitive remuneration and RDO every four weeks on average.
