Draftsperson
Kotzur is seeking a capable and detail-oriented Draftsperson to join our Storage and Projects Design Team, supporting the delivery of high-quality, build-ready designs across a diverse range of customer projects.
This role is about turning concepts into accurate, practical drawings that work on the shop floor and on site. You will collaborate closely with designers, engineers, project managers and production teams to ensure designs are delivered efficiently, safely and to standard.
Based at our Walla Walla NSW site (approximately 30 minutes from Albury), this role offers a stable, hands-on opportunity in a regional setting, within a supportive and experienced design team.
About the role
Working within the Storage and Projects Team and reporting to the Design Manager, you will be responsible for translating concept designs into detailed drawings for manufacture and installation.
Your focus will be on producing accurate documentation, maintaining design records, and supporting project delivery through clear, well-structured drafting outputs across agricultural, commercial storage, feedlot, mining and plastics projects.
What you'll be doing

Producing detailed layouts and shop drawings from concept designs

Drafting civil, structural and light fabrication components using Inventor and AutoCAD

Interpreting design intent and ensuring drawings are build-ready

Maintaining design records, documentation and version control

Liaising with internal stakeholders including designers, engineers, project managers and production teams

Supporting manufacturing and installation teams with accurate drawings

Ensuring designs comply with relevant standards, Kotzur requirements and Safety in Design principles
What you’ll bring
You are a practical, detail-focused draftsperson who takes pride in producing clear and accurate drawings and enjoys working in a collaborative, hands-on environment.
You will bring:

2+ years’ experience in a drafting or design support role within manufacturing, construction or a related industry

Trade or tertiary qualifications in drafting, design or a related discipline (degree not required)

Proficiency in Inventor and AutoCAD (Vault experience desirable)

Sound understanding of fabrication processes and materials

Confidence in detailing, populating BOMs and checking drawings

A strong focus on accuracy, safety and following standards

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders
