Machine Operator

We're looking for a reliable and motivated Machine Operator to join our production team, with a primary focus on operating our coil laser processing equipment.

About the role
As a Machine Operator, you’ll be responsible for the safe, efficient and accurate operation of the coil laser and other factory equipment. You’ll support daily production targets, maintain quality standards and help ensure smooth workflow across the team.
This is a full-time, permanent position, based at our Walla Walla site (30 minutes’ drive from Albury).
What you'll be doing
· Operating and setting up the coil laser, including calibration, program selection and material loading
· Conducting visual checks and measurements to maintain cutting quality and accuracy
· Performing routine cleaning, basic maintenance and troubleshooting simple issues
· Assisting with other machinery such as roll formers, guillotines and brake presses
· Completing general factory duties including materials handling, housekeeping and minor repairs
· Maintaining a strong focus on safety and following all WHS requirements
· Working collaboratively with production workers, fabricators and engineers
What we're looking for
· Experienced in manufacturing or production (laser experience desirable)
· Mechanically minded with good problem‑solving skills
· Safe, reliable, punctual and willing to learn
· Comfortable working around moving machinery and sheet metal
· A strong team player who can also work independently
· Detail‑focused and committed to quality
· Willing to complete reasonable overtime when required
