About the role

Are you ready to kickstart your career in welding and fabrication?

Kotzur is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Fabrication Apprentice to join our team at our Walla Walla location – just 30 minutes from Albury. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, gain hands-on experience, and build a rewarding career in a supportive and innovative environment.

This full-time apprenticeship will commence in January 2026 and includes support to complete a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade. You’ll work alongside skilled tradespeople and be involved in the fabrication of high-quality silos and associated structures and components used across agriculture and mining. You’ll receive structured training and mentoring while contributing to real projects that make a difference.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist in welding and fabrication tasks under supervision

  • Learn and apply safe work practices and quality standards

  • Learn how to interpret technical drawings and plans for fabrication

  • Operate tools and machinery relevant to welding and metalwork

  • Participate in training and development activities as part of your apprenticeship

  • Support the team with general workshop duties and project work

What we're looking for

  • A genuine interest in welding, fabrication, and hands-on work

  • Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced team members

  • Strong work ethic and commitment to safety

  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude

  • Completion of Year 10 or higher (preferred)

  • Previous exposure to metalwork or trade-related subjects (desirable but not essential)
