Detail Draftsperson

We are seeking an experienced Detail Draftsperson to join our team in Walla Walla (30-minute drive from Albury).

About the role

As a Detail Draftsperson, you will produce detailed drawings for structural steel, mechanical equipment, chutes, and civil design components across the entire Storage and Projects product range. Tasks will encompass the provision of drawings, packing lists, and other technical documents.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare detailed CAD drawings for structural steel, mechanical systems, and civil components

  • Structural, civil and mechanical designing and drafting tasks involved with the manufacture and installation of silos and associated structures and components, such as gantries, walkways, support structures, etc.

  • Ensuring Kotzur design office protocols are maintained

  • Collaborate with engineers, fabricators and project teams to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability

What we're looking for

  • Qualifications in Engineering Drafting (e.g. Certificate IV or Diploma)

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a drafting role, ideally within manufacturing or construction

  • Proficient in CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor or similar)

  • Strong understanding of technical drawings and fabrication processes

  • Mechanically minded with excellent problem-solving skills

  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team
