Construction Supervisor

With bulk storage projects located all across Australia, Kotzur is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor | Construction Coordinator who is adapt to travel and working away from home to join our team. The roster pattern for this role is predominately 10 days on 4 days off but may change to meet the requirements of the project.
Work location when not on project site can be at either of our site locations in Walla Walla, NSW or Toowoomba, Qld.
About the role
As a Construction Supervisor | Construction Coordinator, you will coordinate site operations for construction projects and maintenance jobs for a range of industries including but not limited to agricultural, commercial storage and handling, feedlots, mining and plastics.
Reporting to the Senior Manager – Projects and KMS, and working collaboratively with Project Managers and Contract Builders, you will oversee daily construction site operations, ensuring safety, quality and timely project delivery.
What you'll be doing

Coordinate and supervise day to day construction operations, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications

Coordinate site construction crews and site works (predominately contractors) to ensure jobs are completed to a high quality, within agreed timeframes and in line with relevant WHS legislation

Involvement in the coordination and oversight of the supply of all deliverables to site. This will involve in house manufacturing and third party suppliers

Manage the delivery, storage, and usage of construction materials and equipment on-site, both company owned and external, and provide weekly updates to the appointed Project Manager

Coordinate the site related interface between the Kotzur team, contractors, other suppliers and the client, and monitor and report site related progress to the Kotzur team and the client

Foster a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment and enforce quality control measures to meet or exceed project specifications

Provide advisory guidance and support to site resources and contractors regarding WHS. Ensuring compliance with all relevant WHS requirements (Act, Regulations, Codes of Practice, etc)

Address on-site challenges promptly and efficiently (eg time delays, cost over runs, etc), proposing solutions to unforeseen issues and plan for mitigation of any associated risks

Provide / arrange necessary site handover and training. Provide ongoing support to the client during the early days of project operation

Maintain effective relationships and communication with all key stakeholders including clients, contractors and project team members, in order to achieve an effective work environment and a high quality result for our clients
What we're looking for

Willingness to travel throughout Australia and on occasion oversees and to spend significant amounts of time working away from home in a variety of environments

Mechanical trade or relevant experience in bulk material handling equipment

Relevant licences including but not limited to Driver licence, EWP, White Card, Working at Heights or willingness to obtain

Strong work ethic and a high level of customer service focus, with an ability to stay calm under pressure

Ability to gain the trust of customers, contractors and other suppliers

Strong organisation / time management skills, with an attention to detail

Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively
