Overview

This has been a staged project that started in 2010 with the installation of four 1970T on-ground silos. These were being filled and unloaded with mobile augers. The project has been expanded on to create a system that can receive grain through a truck road pit and its conveying system is designed with a nominal 250T per hour capacity in wheat.  It outloads through a truck loading Garner Bin with weigh cells fitted. This now includes a full touchscreen operating system for easy operation.

Details

The system has a road pit with a nominal capacity 40T of wheat. The conveying system is designed with a nominal 250T per hour capacity in wheat. It consists of an unloading screw conveyor, into a transfer Drag Conveyor that feeds a Bucket Elevator. The system can then feed into 2 rows of silo infeed drag conveyor or into the Garner Bin (on load cells for accurate weighing). The garner bin has a nominal capacity of 300T and can rapidly load 3 road trains without replenishment. All the silos are reclaimed via transfer Drag Conveyors back to the Bucket Elevator. The system has redundancy in-loading and out-loading chutes to allow the operation to continue in the case of mechanical failure.
